Cy Young Award Goes to Irvine Hurler Thursday, November 19th, 2026 The Cy Young Award for 2026 has been presented and the National League winner is Masutaro Koyama of Irvine. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Koyama. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Gang Green star told reporters. Koyama excelled with an impressive 23-4 record in 34 starts. In 264.2 innings he yielded 184 hits and 35 walks, while striking out 339 and compiling a fine 1.84 ERA. José Martínez of the Plymouth Rocks finished second in voting, while Robert Reeves of the Baffin Island Beavers finished third. |
