Jeff Carter Out for 4 Weeks Sunday, August 16th, 2026 It took the St Charles team doctor a while to realize it, but second baseman Jeff Carter won't simply play through a sprained ankle after he got hurt colliding with a player at a base in today's Pikes-Sheens game. At first, it looked like Carter might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 4 weeks. Carter is hitting .348 so far this season with 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 65 hits including 6 home runs, 15 walks and .408 OBP. |
