Spanish Fork HS Pitcher Gets Outstanding Hitter Award Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 2025 was a year to remember for Paul Turberville and his outstanding efforts have garnered him the nod as the High School Stars League Outstanding Hitter Award winner. While it's not common for a pitcher to win this award, Turberville couldn't be denied, with his strong season in which he posted a 3-0 mark in 10 starts. The Spanish Fork HS ace pitcher threw 54 innings, had 93 strikeouts and had 15 walks, accounting for a 0.33 ERA. Turberville held opposing hitters to a .127 batting average and compiled a 3.4 WAR. Matt Barlow of the Shelby HS Rockets finished second in voting, while Bob Fitzgerald of the Bishop Verot HS finished third. |
