Newcombe Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 Ron Newcombe really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Ballpark of Wildwood HS, the Spanish Fork HS second baseman blistered the Billings West HS Golden Bears for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 18-1 victory. "Newcombe was too tough to get out today," the Golden Bears skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Ron Newcombe singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. Currently Newcombe is batting .316 with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
