Harris's Hit Streak Reaches 30 Games

The red-hot hitting Nick Harris is riding high with a 30-consecutive-game hitting streak and is drawing a lot of attention at the ballpark and in the press. The 21-year-old Georgia center fielder continued the streak today at Hawkins Field with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Bulldogs got the best of the Vanderbilt Commodores 2-1.
"It's great," one of his teammates said. "To be able to hit behind him and watch him, it's been fun. It's been fun and exciting to watch. Not only fans in Georgia, but baseball fans everywhere appreciate what is going on right now, and it has everyone on the edge of their seats wondering what he is going to do." Nick Harris struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Harris is presently hitting at a .409 pace with 6 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 43 games and scored 42 times.
