NCAA Selects Best Performer

So far in his young career, Darrel Lang has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the NCAA in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 19-year-old California Golden Bears first baseman hit at a torrid .481 clip as he collected 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 6 home runs, 18 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
So far this season Lang is batting .398 with 15 home runs, 53 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 74 hits in 186 at-bats, 28 walks and a .477 OBP. Lang has played in 45 games.
