Poole Mystifies Oregon Saturday, May 17th, 2025 "Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage. Well, good pitching also beats bad batting. In his postgame interview the Oregon manager said, "Steve Poole made us look real bad today. He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking." Poole had 5 strikeouts, 2 walks and allowed only 3 hits as the Rutgers Scarlet Knights whitewashed the Oregon Ducks 12-0. This season Poole has compiled a 1-3 mark with a 5.31 ERA in 9 starts. |
