Harris Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, May 10th, 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Nick Harris got one today. He scattered hits all over Red McEwen Field to pace Georgia to a 4-3 victory over South Florida. The South Florida skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Harris hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Nick Harris hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. Presently Harris is batting .402 with 53 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 23 runs and scored 34 times. |
