Cornhuskers End Soto's Streak Sunday, May 4th, 2025 Lady Luck was not on the side of Gabriel Soto or his teammates today at Bill Davis Stadium. Everything went the Nebraska Cornhuskers way. They not only came away with a 7-4 victory, but also held Soto hitless in 5 at-bats to put an end to the first baseman's 23-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Soto said afterward. "But it'd be much easier to take right now if we had won." In the current season, Soto has put up a .336 batting average with 38 hits, 3 home runs, 22 RBI and scored 16 runs. |
