Young Sidelined for 16-17 Months Friday, April 25th, 2025 It took the Cincinnati team doctor a while to realize it, but starting pitcher George Young won't simply play through a damaged elbow ligament after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Cowboys-Bearcats game. At first, it looked like Young might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 16-17 months. To date this year in 5 starts, Young has crafted a 1-1 mark with a 8.10 ERA. |
