Hawkeyes Chill Pope's Hot Streak Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 Jacob Pope's 23-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Huskies 18-0 setback to the Hawkeyes. Pope went without a hit in 3 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it. "I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Pope said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight." This season Pope has hit at a .321 clip and produced 11 RBI, 2 home runs and 6 runs. |
