Jerry Martin Nabs Prestigious Roger Clemens Award Friday, June 21st, 2024 19-year-old Jerry Martin of the Illinois Fighting Illini put together a good year in 2024 for such a young player. Martin was named today as the winner of the NCAA Roger Clemens Award. Martin crafted an impressive 7-0 record and a 1.04 ERA. In 69.1 innings he allowed 35 hits, struck out 105, and walked 9. Sid Allen of the South Florida Bulls finished second in voting, while Daniel Carter of the Stanford Cardinal finished third. |
