Cardinal Celebrate Wild Card Win Friday, May 24th, 2024 The Stanford Cardinal could very well have acquired some new fans late this season, as the team's 2024 playoff chase saw them win the wild card as the season wound to a close. "It's a pretty exciting time to be a fan of the Cardinal. I think we had people on the edge of their seats wondering what would happen," said starting pitcher Daniel Carter. What ended up happening is that the team's 30-19 record has allowed it to move on to the postseason, with a chance to win the 1st CWS Championship in franchise history. "It's only going to get more exciting from here on in," Carter said. |
