Florida State's Russell Down with Injury Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 It took the Florida State team doctor a while to realize it, but reliever John Russell won't simply play through shoulder inflammation after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Ducks-Seminoles game. At first, it looked like Russell might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 6 months. This year his season stats show Russell has no saves in 19 relief appearances with a 2-2 record and 4.63 ERA. |
