Fernández Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Monday, May 20th, 2024 The California Golden Bears suffered a 5-4 setback today at the hands of the Virginia Tech Hokies at Evans Diamond, but their hot-hitting first baseman Sergio Fernández went 1-for-5 and stretched his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Sergio Fernández grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year Fernández has hit at a .309 pace and produced 37 RBIs, 12 home runs and scored 28 runs. |
