Rose Cracks 5 Hits Monday, May 13th, 2024 The Tigers whipped the Tar Heels 18-1 at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium and Edward Rose had a big hand in the win. The Tigers first baseman came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Rose and a tough day for North Carolina. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Rose delivered today -- 5-for-6 is outstanding in any league. Edward Rose singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and walked in the 9th. On the season, Rose is batting .337 with 7 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 40 games. |
