The Buckeyes shortstop pounded out 5 hits to pace his team to a 13-12 thumping of the Sooners. Santiago Gutiérrez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
