Greg Nelson discovered that when he cracked three homers at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field during today's game against the Oregon State Beavers and lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The Kansas left fielder went on to describe his big day in his postgame interview. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them." He got his name in the league record book, but the Beavers walked away with a 8-7 triumph. Nelson finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats and 3 RBIs. Greg Nelson hit a solo-shot off Jon Sexton in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jon Sexton in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jon Sexton in the 6th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
