Gonzáles's Strong Week Earns PIO Trophy

So far in his young career, Félix Gonzáles has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pioneer League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 22-year-old Eau Claire Esquires catcher hit at a torrid .417 clip as he collected 10 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Looking at his stats this year, Gonzáles has compiled a .233 batting average, while hitting 23 home runs and driving in 93 runs. He has played in 144 games and scored 75 runs.
