Zartuche Slams 6 Hits for Nantucket Sunday, September 21st, 2025 History in the making. That's what the fans at Pilot Field got to see today, when Nantucket outplayed the Pilots 38-5. Anastasio Zartuche of the Orcas came to the plate 8 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 6 hits against Pensacola. In the postgame press conference the Pensacola skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Anastasio Zartuche singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. In 135 games this season Zartuche has compiled a .303 batting average with 136 hits and 5 home runs. He has also scored 77 times and knocked in 84 runs. |
