Nelson Nabs APL Weekly Award Monday, September 1st, 2025 This week Ken Nelson, right fielder for the Pensacola Pilots, hit his way to the Appalachian League Player of the Week Award. Nelson put on a hitting clinic with a .444 average as he belted and battered APL pitchers for 12 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This year Nelson is batting .309 with 12 home runs. He has scored 70 runs and driven in 92. |
