APL's Best Batter Announced Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 Ernest Russell may be much younger than other hitters in the Appalachian League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in June to win the Batter of the Month award. The 23-year-old Nashua shortstop hit .387 with 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and 25 runs scored. In the current season, Russell has put up a .311 batting average with 50 hits, 9 home runs, 30 runs batted in and scored 36 runs. |
