Minnesota Starting Pitcher Out
Monday, July 8th, 2024
The Minnesota Death Stars learned that Gerardo García is likely to be out for 4-5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Cincinnati Pride. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be shoulder inflammation. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Minnesota manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Gerardo is back in action."

So far this season García has 2 wins and 1 loss and a 4.12 ERA.
