Sanford Nixed as Manager by Orioles Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 Bart Sanford's tenure with the Barry's Bay Orioles is over. Sanford was officially fired from his position as team manager today, following a two-hour closed-door meeting with the club's owner and general manager. "We certainly didn't see eye-to-eye on every issue, but I guess at the end of the day they feel the team is better off without me running it. There's not much I can do about that," Sanford told BNN. "Do I want to stay here and try to turn this team around? Of course I do, but such is life." Team officials have remained unusually quiet on the specific reasons behind the firing and have thus far refused to discuss the issue with media. |
