5-for-6 Day for Sherman Thursday, May 29th, 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Brant Sherman as he led the charge to a 26-2 win over the Iguanas. The Springfield center fielder was pure misery for the Kingston pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Iguanas told BNN reporters after the game, "Sherman put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Brant Sherman doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 9th. So far this year Sherman is batting .304 with 1 home run, 17 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
