White Sox Mendoza Blanks Overrated Jeter Saturday, May 24th, 2025 "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled the Penquannock manager after his club suffered a 7-0 shutout at the hands of Pedro Mendoza of the Butler White Sox. He held the Penquannock Overrated Jeter scoreless in a 3-hit whitewash. Mendoza was in a zone of his own most of the game and finished with 13 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. In a postgame quote his own skipper added, "He pitched his butt off, had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. Pedro did a whale of a pitching job." |
