NWL's Best Player Named Monday, August 25th, 2025 Red Deer Wranglers left fielder Greg Nelson walked away with the Northwest League Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Wranglers fans are really behind me right now," said the 21-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Nelson batted .400 (10-for-25) with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs this week on his way to the award. On the season, Nelson is batting .293 with 32 home runs and 111 RBIs. He has played in 125 games. |
