Evans Gets No-Hitter Against Red Deer Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 "This is one of the best moments of my life," Ben Evans said. "You never think that's going to happen -- a no-hitter." He made those comments after he held the Wranglers hitless in the Culver City 2-0 victory at The Rehab Center. "We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," said the Red Deer manager, when asked about his epic performance. "Evans was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number." Evans was more humble about his historic feat and told BNN reporters that he was "just happy to get the win for the club." He faced only 28 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 11 and walked 0. Evans has made 13 starts so far this year and put up a 7-2 won-lost record with a 2.36 ERA. In 84 innings he has allowed 49 hits, walked 33 and struck out 96. |
