Top PCL Pitcher Announced
Thursday, October 23rd, 2025
In the twilight of his career, Norberto Méndez has no intention of going anywhere anytime soon. The 36-year-old Hammertime starter hoisted up the Pacific Coast League Outstanding Pitcher Award earlier today, silencing critics who thought it was time for the "old man" to retire.
Méndez crafted an ERA of 3.17 as he won 21 games, dropped 5, fanned 183 and gave up 62 walks in 212.2 innings of work.
Juan Barrera of the Lansing Lugnuts finished second in voting, while Enrique Valdés of the Lansing Lugnuts finished third.
