Portland LF Dorney Will Miss 7 Months Thursday, September 18th, 2025 Watching Jeff Dorney getting helped off the field today at Pratt & Whitney Field, fans of the Portland Privateers feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the left fielder will miss 7 months with a broken bone in the elbow. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Dorney suffered the injury making a defensive play in the game against the Clams. Dorney is currently batting .302 with 16 home runs and 78 RBIs. |
