In a game played at The Lair in Charlotte, the Waba shortstop blistered the Amarillo Archdukes for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 21-8 victory. "Medrano was too tough to get out today," the Archdukes skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Pepe Medrano hit a three-run home run off Bobby Lawrence in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Glenn Dunn in the 5th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
