Peterson Parks 3 for Topeka Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 Eric Peterson was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the Topeka 17-1 triumph over Birmingham, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands. Nobody who was at Regions Field will forget this home run outburst anytime soon. The Topeka catcher went 4-for-4, rung up 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. He told the press corps after his three home run binge, "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight. I can't wait until tomorrow's game. I really feel good at the plate." Eric Peterson singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Stanley Briggs in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Domingo Ortíz in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Pei Que in the 8th. This year Peterson has collected a .344 batting average to date with 22 hits in 64 at-bats, 12 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 16 times. He has played in 16 games. |
