Carona 5-for-6 Against Timber Rattlers Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 Today the Barons downed the Timber Rattlers 14-4 as Vicente Carona sprayed hits all over Snake Park in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The Birmingham catcher said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Vicente Carona singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in a run in the 8th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Carona is hitting .282 with 1 home run, 16 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 124 at-bats and a .350 OBP. |
