Beavers Cruise to League Championship with Sweep Saturday, October 18th, 2025 The Los Angeles Bruins were simply over matched by the Baffin Island Beavers in the Divisional Round. The end result was a sweep, as Baffin Island has cruised to the League Championship, with the final win coming at Jersey West at Staples Field by a score of 13-4. "We're clicking and running on an all cylinders at the moment. We're a dangerous team when we play like this," said Chris Bates, who was named MVP of the Divisional Round. For the series, Bates hit .526 with a .571 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Baffin Island Beavers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hendersonville Hitmen - Irvine Gang Green series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes. |
