Los Angeles Takes Wildcard Round in Deciding Game Sunday, October 12th, 2025 The Los Angeles Bruins and Los Cabos Cartel tangled in a hard-fought Wildcard Round that needed to go the distance to find a winner. That winner was Los Angeles, with a 7-6 win at Jersey West at Staples Field in the final game, to wrap the series 2-1. "You saw our reaction when we won, I think that says it all," said Francisco Vega of his team's raucous celebration that quickly spilled onto the field and then subsequently into the team's locker room. "Our guys are pretty excited for the Divisional Round." For the series Vega put up an MVP performance, hitting .600 with a .625 on-base percentage, with 4 home runs, 9 RBI and 4 runs scored. The Los Angeles Bruins will play against the Baffin Island Beavers in the next round. Baffin Island had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Divisional Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes. |
