Díaz Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 21 Tuesday, September 30th, 2025 The Greenville 84s defeated the Portland Cards 2-0 today at Michigan & Trumbull, but Enzo Díaz's 21-game hitting string was snapped and went to the wayside. Díaz went hitless in 4 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," the third baseman said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the 'W' today. That's all that really counts." This year Díaz is hitting at a .339 pace with 30 home runs and 125 RBIs. He has played in 144 games and scored 123 times. |
