Fajardo Pitches Niagara Falls to Shutout Win Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 The Birmingham Steeldogs met their match today in Niagara Falls hurler Tomás Fajardo. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 5-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," the Birmingham skipper said. "He probably didn't even take a shower after the game. I don't think he even worked up a sweat. They could probably pitch him again tomorrow." In the 8-0 victory Fajardo whiffed 4 and gave up no walks. This season Fajardo has a 10-6 mark in 22 starts with a 3.58 ERA. He has given up 156 hits in 143.1 innings, struck out 76 and issued 25 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .279 batting average against him. |
