Rivard Batters Maize HS Big Time Thursday, May 11th, 2023 On top of the Butler HS hit parade today was Jérémie Rivard. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Golden Tornado to a 12-4 victory over the Maize HS. The sweet swinging left fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Maize HS wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Jérémie Rivard singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Josh Jenkins in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Presently Rivard is hitting .378 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 35 times. |
