High School Stars League Pitcher of the Year Named Friday, June 14th, 2024 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2024 has been presented and the High School Stars League winner is Cedric Duncan of Mountain Pointe HS. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Duncan. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Mountain Pointe HS star told reporters. Duncan excelled with an impressive 6-0 record in 9 starts. In 49 innings he yielded 36 hits and 13 walks, while striking out 64 and compiling a fine 1.65 ERA. Denny Koch of the Dublin Jerome HS Celtics finished second in voting, while Errol Murphy of the Otsego HS Bulldogs finished third. |
