Great Stroke: León Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 Broken Arrow HS second baseman Víctor León put on quite a show at Threshers Ballpark with a big 5-hit day in the 20-8 victory over the Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central HS Trojans. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 5.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Víctor León hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off John Ashe in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th. This year León has socked 27 hits in 66 at-bats for a .409 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .512 pace and his totals also include 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |
