Green Torches Saints for 5 Hits Sunday, May 5th, 2024 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Bill Green of the Bishop Gorman HS. Green went on a tear at Ballpark of Bethlehem HS and cracked hit after hit off Temiskaming District Secondary School pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 18-year-old left fielder had a career 5-for-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Green got the accolades today, but the Temiskaming District Secondary School Saints walked off the field with a 17-10 win. Bill Green hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Presently Green is batting .304 with 1 home run and 23 RBIs. He has played in 33 games and scored 15 times. |
