Banks Strokes 5 Hits Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 Micheal Banks exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Blues Ballpark. The John Jay HS first baseman had a field day in the 14-7 triumph over the Brookline HS Warriors, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Banks must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Micheal Banks hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Norm Sweetland in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Scott Robbins in the 8th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Banks is hitting .316 with 11 home runs, 40 RBIs and 36 runs scored. |
