Big Day with Bat: Cotton 5-for-5 Monday, April 22nd, 2024 Paul Cotton really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Ballpark of Novato HS, the H.H. Dow HS second baseman blistered the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 18-11 victory. "Cotton was too tough to get out today," the Wolves skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Paul Cotton singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Joaquín Carrión in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this year in 20 games Cotton is hitting .333 with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
