Duckworth Goes 5-for-7 Sunday, April 21st, 2024 During a player's career, there are days that stand out and this day was definitely special! Dan Duckworth went 5 for 7 against the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves at Maniacs Ballpark and the Maris School picked up a 22-21 victory. "What a day!" he said. "We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" "He was patient up there today," the Maris School skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Duckworth has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Dan Duckworth singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Mark Bailey in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Duckworth is hitting .310 with 3 home runs. |
