MacDonald Raps Bishop Gorman HS for 5 Hits Thursday, April 4th, 2024 On top of the Madawaska Valley HS hit parade today was Hubert MacDonald. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Wolves to a 21-10 victory over the Bishop Gorman HS. The sweet swinging third baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Bishop Gorman HS wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Hubert MacDonald singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Edmiston in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Tom Newton in the 5th, walked in the 7th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th. |
