Price Hits for the Cycle Saturday, May 20th, 2023 Some days you have a great game and your team wins... and sometimes you have a great game and your team loses. That's what happened to Cedric Price of the Hawkeyes. Today the 20-year-old Iowa second baseman had a great day at the plate. He hit for the cycle by pounding out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 2 runs batted in and scored 2 runs, but his club came out on the wrong end of the score and lost to the Pittsburgh Panthers 11-10. Cedric Price doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Steve Gandarilla in the 8th. Price is presently hitting at a .250 pace with 4 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 19 times. |
