Díaz Earns NCAA Player of the Week Monday, May 15th, 2023 19-year-old Evan Díaz made a few Louisville headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and NCAA officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 22 at-bats to put up a .545 average. Díaz collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 5 runs. This season Díaz has hit at a .320 clip with 28 RBIs, 6 home runs and 24 runs scored. |
