Red Storm Reliever Hicks Hurt Thursday, May 11th, 2023 Melvin Hicks had to leave the Red Storm game against Arkansas after suffering a torn triceps while throwing a pitch. He will be out of the lineup at least 4 months. He told reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong." For the season Hicks has made 16 relief appearances, recorded 1 save, compiled a 1-1 won-lost mark and a 3.38 ERA. In pitching 21.1 innings, he has totaled 20 strikeouts and 10 walks. |
