Trojans Spellbound, Allen Hurls No-Hitter Thursday, May 30th, 2024 It was a game that all pitchers dream about: a no-hitter. It happened today at Dedeaux Field. Sid Allen of the South Florida Bulls was right on target against the Southern California Trojans in his 6-0 victory. He really zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. Allen said he just had it all today, "Very good stuff and great location, a combination that's hard to beat." This season Allen has a 6-0 mark in 12 starts with a 2.22 ERA. He has given up 36 hits in 65 innings, struck out 123 and issued 21 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .152 batting average against him. |
