Jackson Smacks 3 Out of the Park Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 Regardless of where you stand on the "hardest thing to do in sports" argument, one thing everyone can agree on, is that hitting three home runs in one game is quite an amazing feat. That's exactly what Frank Jackson did today at Shipley Field. He went deep three times and carried his team to victory in the North Carolina State Wolfpack 10-5 win over Maryland. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Jackson said. "Good things happen, when that happens." He blistered the Terrapins for 3 hits, batted in 8 runs and scored 3 times. The Maryland skipper said, "It ain't like we weren't trying. He was hot and really torched my boys today." Frank Jackson flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off George Moore in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Luis Luján in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Martín Granados in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. For the season Jackson is batting .341 with 56 hits and 18 home runs. He has scored 44 times and batted in 57. |
